Main DokuMuse Award - iMystic
After Dance – a Concert Film | Sebastião Varela | Portugal | 0:52:00
Jury Statement:
After Dance is a concert film imbued with wordless poetry, engaging the audience through the music of the group “Expresso Transatlántico.” Its vivid and subtle metaphors draw the viewer deeply into the world of the concert. Filled with Portuguese motifs and contemporary arrangements, the film transcends a sense of time and place. The Grand Prize is awarded for its poetic language, emotional sensitivity, vibrant improvisation, elegant camera movement, and the director’s delicate and sensual vision.

Special Jury Mention
Maestro: The Path Of Thunder | Hüseynağa Aslanov | Azerbaijan | 0:38:52
Jury Statement:
It’s essential to support emerging talents like Huseyaga Aslonov, the director of Maestro: The Path of Thunder — this is both the mission and the unique spirit of our festival. We are deeply happy for the director and his remarkable protagonist, who has endured many hardships in life. Yet, his love for music has not faded but transcended — expanding into an infinite sky where the universe itself reveals its rhythm through his magical baton.

The Tunes | Pablo Guarise | Belgium | 0:25:53
Jury Statement:
The Tunes portrays the atmosphere of a North Brussels café, where singing acts as a healing balm for the soul. People, their expressions, and their thoughts merge in a cinematic rhythm that reveals deep emotions, showing music as a remedy for inner scars and sorrows. Shared songs become a way to express, rejoice, and live — a powerful force that binds the souls of a vibrant community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the DokuMuse Jury — Katerina Tarbo-Ignatenko, Basilio Maritano Sailer, and Javad Taghizade — for their dedication, thoughtful insights, and hard work.
