During a walk through Odessa, the audience discovers the most outstanding places of this seaside city located on the Black Sea, at the crossroads of Slavic, Jewish and European cultures. The man with the camera walks through the streets of the city and asks its inhabitants about Odessa Mama, a central character of Odessa's folklore. He will thus make us discover the personality of this mythical woman who is deeply rooted in the history of the capital of southern Ukraine. Who is she, why is she loved by all and what values does she embody? This is what we learn progressively as we follow the man with the camera through his encounter with the city. At the same time, we discover the main curiosities of the Odessan culture, the very particular identity of its inhabitants and the status of women in this society in mutation.
